Celebrating the rhythm, energy, and infectious Cuban beats, Sambroso All Stars are one of the UK's most prominent percussionists and the creative force behind the renowned London-based Cuban party tribe, Sambroso Sambroso, this seven-piece band promises to transport you to the vibrant streets of Havana.
Born and raised in Matanzas, Cuba, Oreste Noda's musical journey started as a trombone player before discovering his true passion in the congas. His exceptional talent led him to become the go-to conguero for acclaimed Cuban acts, including the legendary Buena Vista Social Club's Ibrahim Ferrer and other top-notch bands gracing the elegant hotels of beachside Varadero.
Noda's reputation continued to soar, and he was soon invited to join the combined 2004 UK tour of South African jazz icon Hugh Masekela and the illustrious Jazz Jamaica All-Stars, featuring notable luminaries such as Gary Crosby, Denys Baptiste, and Mercury-nominated Soweto Kinch. He then became an integral member of the award-winning Ska Cubano, embarking on a worldwide tour for the following eight years, immersing himself in diverse influences, concocting new ideas, and cultivating lasting friendships.
This performance features the incredible Oreste Sambroso Noda, Javier Camilo, Kishon Khan, Frank Portuondo, Hammadi Valdes and Rolando Domingo.
